Katherine Jeanette (Mcneal) Burkhart

Katherine Jeanette Burkhart, 71, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on January 12, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Katherine was born on August 21, 1953, to Carl and Sarah (Kelso) McNeal in Glendale, Arizona.  She married Ronnie Burkhart on July 1, 1972, in Broseley, MO. he survives. Katherine had taught Sunday School at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church had worked at Westwood Baptist Academy, Oak Grove School, and did lots of in-home childcare.  Some things she enjoyed doing were preparing meals for her family, arts and crafts and playing board and card games. Katherine is survived by husband, Ronnie Burkhart, children, Lonnie Burkhart, Sheila (Cory) Kleinschmidt, Sarah Burkhart (Ben Hays), Joseph Burkhart, 11 grandchildren; Martin, Dakota, Kent, Cole, Gavyn, Daniel, Jullian, Holly, Caitlin, Anna, and Lexy, 5 great grandchildren, siblings, Charlene Williford, Carlene Kearbey, Jody Burkhart, Vicky Torresin, Carl McNeal, Carlos McNeal, Wayne McNeal, David McNeal, Steve McNeal. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles McNeal, sister, Dena Johnson, and twin brothers, Lonnie Joe McNeal and Roy Jean McNeal. Visitation will be held on January 18,2025, from 11am to 12 pm at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, MO. Funeral services will begin at noon in the chapel with Marcus Knight officiating. Burial will take place at Sparkman Cemetery.
