Kathryn Abigail (Puckett) Armes

Kathryn Abigail Armes of Poplar Bluff, Missouri departed this life on May 13, 2024, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center surrounded by those she loved.

Born to Cecil and Daphne Puckett in St. Louis, Missouri on August 15, 1950, Kathy was united in marriage to Larry Gene Armes, Sr. on May 18, 1968, he proceeds her in death. A resident of Poplar Bluff for nearly 50 years Kathy built a full life for herself, and her family.

After her retirement in 2019, Kathy took full advantage of her free time. She traveled with her sisters, nieces and nephews, and grandkids, and visited all new types of locations. Her favorite, though, was her most recent trip to Vegas. Kathy was known to speak her mind, she enjoyed a good laugh, binge watching more TV than a teenager, and playing the slots.

Kathy is survived by her two sons, Larry (Pam) Armes, of Poplar Bluff, MO and Keith (Laura) Armes of Beeville, TX. Six grandchildren, who were her world, Adrian “CJ” (Alex) Jameson, Tristen (Nate) Alford, Ryan (Elizabeth) Armes, Ryley Cage (Ivannah) Armes, Tanner Armes, and Reese Armes all of Poplar Bluff, MO, two great grandchildren, Issiah West and Christopher Alford both of Poplar Bluff, MO and one bonus granddaughter, Kierra Anderson of Poplar Bluff, MO. She is also survived by her very best friends, Millie and Baby Cat.

A memorial service honoring Kathy will be held at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, located at 701 Vine Street, in Poplar Bluff, MO 63901. Visitation will take place from 1 - 2 p.m., Thursday, May 16,2024, with memorial service following at 2p.m.
