Kenneth Ray Franklin

Kenneth Ray Franklin , 70 of Poplar Bluff departed this life on Jan.12, 2019 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau Mo. He was born on September 29, 1948 to the late Lional and Mildred Franklin. On March 1, 1969 he was united in marriage to Brenda (Alexander) Franklin, she survives.

He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired after 27 years of service at the John J Pershing VA Medical center as chief of S And D. He loved wood working, being out doors. He was a member of the South Poplar Bluff General Baptist Church.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Mickey Griffin and husband James, Christopher Franklin and wife Carrie, Kevin Franklin and wife Tricia. His grandchildren, Jamie House, Christen Young, Sara Henson, Kaitlyn Lamkin, Ashley Franklin, Allison Franklin, Madigan Franklin, Cruz Franklin. Eight Great-granchildren, one brother Donald Franklin and wife Mary Jo, One sister Debbie Wells and husband David.

Visitation will be Wednesday Jan.16 being at 11:30 a.m. in the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 pm. at the funeral home with Pastor Rick White officiating, burial will follow in the Mo. Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
