Kim Rene Rudd Hardin of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Mark Twain Caring Center, after having lived and loved her earthly time at the age of 57 years and 10 months.
Kim was born in Decatur, Ill. on March 27, 1957, the daughter of Donald W. "Duke" and Shirley Rudd, who survive. She is also survived by her much loved daughter and companion, Amanda Rene Willis, of the home; two brothers, Kevin W. (Kelly) Rudd of Nashville, Tn. and Kris A. (Jeana) Rudd of Ellsinore, Mo.; nephews, Dillon and Dalton Rudd of Ellsinore and Michael Kizer of Nashville, as well as one niece, Catherine Kizer of Birmingham, Ala., and several aunts, nieces and nephews.
Kim was a member of Northpoint Nazarene Church in Poplar Bluff, where she enjoyed her fellow Christians and friend in church activities. She was a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School in 1975. She had worked in various jobs during her working career, but her main joy and hobby was crafts, decorating, trading and selling merchandise and caring for her flowers and garden. She loved her family and spending time with "Mom" and "Mandy" traveling, going to yard sales and antique stores looking for "stuff", and of course her constant companion and loyal dog, "Peetie".
She is preceded in death by infant twin daughters, Amanda Rene and Anna Beth Downing and daughter, Elizabeth June Downing.
A memorial service will be held at the Northpoint Nazarene Church, hwy. 67 North, Poplar Bluff, Mo., Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. A graveside service will be held in the City Cemetery for family and friends. Pastors Greg Gilberto and Kevin W. Rudd will officiate.
Donations may be given to the family for the Kim Hardin Memorial Fund.
