Larry Allen

Larry Allen, 87, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away peacefully on September 06, 2026 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Larry was born on March 14, 1939 to Ralph and Minnie Allen in Kennett, Missouri.

Larry married the love of his life Carolyn "Joanie" Sherrill on June 10th of 1959 and shortly after he served in the United States Army where they traveled to Germany together. Upon returning they started their family. If you knew Larry, you knew love and compassion. His memory will live on forever and he will be dearly missed everyday.

Larry is survived by his daughter Karol Allen of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Grandchildren Gregory (Danielle) Taylor of West Plains, Missouri, Ashley (Chris) Darnell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Dustin (Crystal) Taylor Hutchinson, Kansas, and Jessica Sadler or Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Great grandchildren Kayleigh (Mason) Harris of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Bryce Taylor of West Plains, Missouri, Brooklyn Allen of West Plains, Missouri, Parker Allen of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Chase and Sophia Taylor of Ohio.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife Joanie, his daughter and son-in-law Tracey and Jeff Marshall, and his parents and siblings.
