Laverne Roy Dubois

Laverne Roy Dubois, 87, of Piedmont, Mo., passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Dubois was born December 1, 1927 in Dalton, Ark. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a supervisor at Boeing in St. Louis. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Survivors are his children, Debbie Rock, JoAnn Dubois, Steve Dubois and Tammy Standford; two sisters, Dorothy Atwell and Jessie Helderman; two brothers, Ben Dubois and Darrell Dubois; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ethel Dubois, a sister, Edna Wyatt and three brothers, Rex, Ray and Bill Dubois. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, followed by the funeral service at 12 (noon) in the chapel. Burial with full military honors will be held in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
