Lindell Hunter, 72, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at his home.
Mr. Hunter was born July 8, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo., to the late Jessie Paul Hunter and Ruby Jewel (Kerr) Hunter. He was a truck driver for over 50 years and worked for Paul Duckett for 30 plus years. He was a Charter Member of Westwood Baptist Church and a member of the Teamsters. He enjoyed welding and horseshoe crafts.
On October 12, 1974, he married Rolana (Templeton) Hunter in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She survives.
Other survivors include his cousins, Eldon Kerr (Juanita) and Sarah Imler, all of Monette, Ark., Cherell Baker of Columbia, S.C., Terry Good of Florida, Mary Ann and Marilyn of Piedmont, Mo., Fred Kerr of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Margaret Kerr of Prague, Oklahoma, and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at Westwood Baptist Church, in Poplar Bluff, followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Dr. Steve Proctor will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
