Lonnie Earl Pierce, 67 of Neelyville, Missouri passed away at his residence February 17, 2011. He was born April 24, 1943 in Neelyville, Missouri to Boyd Pierce and Ora Sparpe Pierce. He was a life long resident of Butler County.
Earl was a member of the Naylor first Church of God and had served on the church board. He also served on the Neelyville school board and also served in the National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to church. Earl worked for the Butler County Highway Dept. as a backhoe operator for 37 years.
On February 28, 1969 he was married to Brenda Armor in Broseley. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Leahan Sollis and husband, Alan, of Corning Ark. his Beloved Grandchildren, Zachary and Allison; two sisters, Ada Belle Dunlap of Harviell and Erma Jane Hanner of Searcy, Ark.; two brothers Franklin Pierce of Pleasant Hill, California and the Rev. Curtis Pierce of Elgin, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Della Griffin and two brothers, Autin and Elvin Pierce.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Sunday a at Fowler-Sullivan memorial Chapel in Neelyville, . The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev Bob Featheston Officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery. Memorial should be made to UCAN in Poplar Bluff, Hope Lodge in St. Louis or the American Cancer society.
