Lorene Daves, 86, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Westwood Hills Caring Center.
Mrs. Daves was born October 4, 1927 in McGee, Mo., to the late Glenn Wills and Rosie (Richmann) Wills.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and the SEMO Sportsman Association. A homemaker, she enjoyed doll collecting, flower gardening, attending church and spending time with her family, especially the grandkids.
On February 8, 1947 she married Floyd Daves in Piggott, Arkansas. He survives.
Also surviving are their two children, Connie Maddox and husband, Milford and Randy Daves and wife, Mary Ellen; 3 sister, Betty Warren, Ruby Barks and Thelma Helms; 4 grandchildren, Travis Maddox (Stephanie) and Ryan Maddox ( Michelle), Todd Daves (Jessica), Daniel Daves (Krystle); 8 great-grandchildren, Hunter Maddox, Hailey Maddox, Madi Maddox, Kayly Daves, Kaydence Daves, Landon Hart, Natalie Daves and Mercy Daves.
Mrs. Daves was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ilene Lacey, and a brother, Joy Willis.
Visitation was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery.
