Lucy Faye Boatner

Lucy Faye Boatner, 81, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 19, 1934 in Dyer, Ark., to the late Dewey Hill and Essie (Harris) Hill. She had worked as a LPN for a nursing home and enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, raising flowers and cooking. She was a non-denominational church member. She is survived by her children, Jerry Wayne Fleener of Poplar Bluff, John Thomas Fleener of McAlester, Ok. and Terry Lem Boatner of Moore, Ok.; her grandchildren, Jerry Lee Fleener, Tonya Fleener, Shawn Fleener, Rusty Swasho, Jess Powell, Allen Rogers, Gina Rogers, Janette Rogers and Jerry Hosentfel; as well as several great-grandchildren; her sisters, Lois Venable of Poplar Bluff, Shirley Shell of Ellsinore, and Pat Phillips of Pacific, Mo.; her brothers, L.D. Hill of Gideon and Walt Hill of Dumas, Ark. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Miller; one son, Rodger Buddy Fleener; son-in-law, Ray Miller and four brothers, Raymond Hill, Bill Hill, Harvey Hill and Charles Hill. Visitation will begin at 1p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m., at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.
