Marie Baxter

Marie D. (Attebery) Baxter, 96, of Mark, Ill. passed away October 7, 2013 in Illinois Valley Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday October 11, 2013 in Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Missouri. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm Friday until time of services at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Eaton Cemetery at Naylor, Missour. Helmer -Shields Funeral Home in Granville assisting the family with Local arrangement. Mrs Baxter was born September 5, 1917 in Clay County Arkansas to William Oscar and Luvina (Hocking) Atteberry. She married Johnie Baxter December 24, 1936 in Clay County, Arkansas. Mrs. Baxter is survived by one daughter Janice (Robert) Ossola of Mark, Ill. and one son Roger (Janice) Baxter of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, one sister Doris (Clayton) Murray of O'Falloon, Missouri, one Grandson, Adam (Amy) Ossola, One Grandaughter Lora (Andrew) Boggio and one great granddaughter. Mrs. Baxter was preceded in death by her husband in 2010 and seven brothers.
