Martin Edward Forsythe, 75, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mr. Forsythe was born May 10, 1938, to the late Curtis and Zelda (Simpson) Forsythe, in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Forsythe was a member of the American Legion 630 and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an auto body repairman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, crossword puzzles and traveling.
On November 11, 1961 he married Patricia Ann (Burns) Forsythe, in Corning, Ark. She survives.
Other survivors include his children, Michael "Mike" Forsythe and wife, Reva Kim, Ed Forsythe and wife, Peggy of Taylorsville, N.C., Bob Forsythe, Kevin Forsythe and wife, Kim and John Forsythe; sisters, Virginia Fowler and Vernon Bess; one brother, Donald Forsythe; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Forsythe was also preceded in death by one daughter, Tamora Forsythe; a sister, Elsie Sparks; and brother, Marvin Forsythe.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, in the chapel with Rev. Danny Collins officiating. Burial will be in Sparkman Cemetery will full military honors.
