Mary Faughn

Mary Dollie (Loy) Faughn, 89, of Odessa, Mo., formerly of Poplar Bluff, died May 12, 2014.

Mary was born January 4, 1925, in Sommersville, Mo., to the late Edwin R. Loy and Osa Mae (Thomason) Loy.

On January 10, 1944 she married James G. Faughn, in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death in 2006.

Mrs. Faughn is survived by her children and their families, Robert and Alice (Faughn) Deskins of Lee's Summit, Mo., son, John Deskins preceded in death; Harold Faughn and children Beth and Chris of Jefferson City, Mo.; James "Mark" and Terrie (Hellums) Faughn, and their children, Scott and Sierra of Poplar Bluff; Iva Ann Eggert and daughters, Amber of Odessa, Mo. and Shaundel of California. A daughter who preceded her in death in 2003, Margaret Sue's children, Kimberly and Shane of Arizona also survive. Others include a sister, Rebecca (Loy) Dills of St. Louis, Mo., and one brother, Henry and Shirley Loy of St. Louis; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with Bishop Kent Miller officiating
