Mary Alice Hert

Mary Alice Hert, 73, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Hert was born July 1, 1942. She was a homemaker and enjoyed drawing, reading, playing with the cats and watching television. Her husband Ben Hert preceded her in death on October 9,2005. Survivors include her children, Mary Gean Hert, Clyde Hert, John Hert, James Hert, Alice Cheshire and Rachel Stilson; 3 sisters, June Johnson, Margaret Coontz, and Florettta Dewitt; 1 brother, Aubrey Brooks Jr.; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubey T. Brooks Sr. and Flora (Burkett) Brooks and son, Ben Joe Hert. A graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, Mo., with Ron Fowler officiating.
