Mary Ellen Hilton

Mary Ellen Hilton, 92 of Doniphan, Mo. passed away March 18, 2016. she was born Dec 11, 1923 at Pine, Missouri to Late Orvil Byrd and Nettie Miller Byrd. she was a homemaker, and a member of the Good Hope General Baptist Church of Doniphan. she enjoyed the outdoors making quilts, gathering wild mushrooms,grapes and hazelnuts and most of all her family. On April 22, 1940 at Doniphan she was married to Howard Hilton. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1994. She is survived by; Six sons; Charles Hilton and (Mary) of Doniphan, Edward Hilton and (Donna) of Doniphan, Glenn Hilton and (Pam) Of Byron, Ill., Gary Hilton and (Shooky) of Naylor, Mo., Bob Hilton of Grandin, Mo and Sam Hilton and Mona of Oxly, Mo. One daughter; Mary Meek of Silom Springs, Ark, , one brother;George Byrd, Pine, Mo. One sister, Marge Hughes of Rockford, Ill.,as well as 32 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Howard Hilton,daughter, Nettie Palmer, brother Orvel Byrd,sisters, Marie Roberts and Cealia Dunn as well as three grandchildren; Cynthia Ann Meek and Russell Darrell Meek and Kathy Tennison. daughter-in-law Rita Hilton, and son in law, Ralph Meek. visitation will be Tuesday March 22, 2016 starting at 12 pm with the funeral following at 3 pm in the fowler-sullivan memorial chapel of neelyville, mo. burial will be in the pine cemetery. officiating Pastor Mike Price
