Max R. Day, 73, the son of Raymond Day and Dorothy Verneal Robinson Day was born on January 6, 1942 at Ponder, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday February 15, 2015 at his home in Naylor, Missouri.
He enjoyed wood working, hunting, fishing, mowing the yard and going to ball games and his family. He was a member of the Naylor Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
On January 20, 1962, Max was married to Gloria Martin at Pocahontas, Arkansas and she survives.
Also surviving he leaves two sons, Scott Day and wife, Kim of Iola, Kansas, Bob Day and wife, Carol of Naylor, Mo.; four sisters, Barbara Richardson of Neelyville, Mo., Darlene Isom of Neelyville, Mo., Diane Cullison of Naylor, Mo., and Connie Moore of Naylor, Mo.; three brothers, Leon Day of Naylor, Kenny Day of Naylor, Carter Day of Naylor; his grandchildren, Dale Day and wife, Mallory, Amanda Harmon and husband, Michael, Brandon, Jessica, David, as well as his great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Savannah, Lilly, and Owen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Dorothy Verneal Robinson Day; one sister, Vickie Easter, as well as one grandson, Kyle Day.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, February 18, at 12:00 noon with funeral services following at 2:00 pm at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Eaton Cemetery, Naylor Missouri. Brother Randy Hart will officiate.
Max will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew him.
