Michael Eugene Norman

Michael Eugene Norman, 63, of Wappapello, Mo., passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center. Mr. Norman was born February 16, 1953 in Kennett, Mo. to Eugene and Bonnie Norman. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. A former contractor, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. On December 14, 1998 he married Jody (Ziegler) Norman. She survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Jeannie Wlodarcik and husband, Brent of Poplar Bluff and one step-son, Charlie Ziegler of Wappapello; his father, Eugene Norman of Wappapello; two grandchildren, Chance Kendle and Maci Wlodarcik of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Rick Norman and wife, Nancy of Wappapello and two sisters, Patty Foust and husband, Dwight of Cape Girardeau, Mo. and Linda Black and husband, Eddie of Memphis, Tn. He was preceded in death by his mother. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, followed by the funeral service at noon with Pastor Doug Osborn officiating. Mr. Norman will be laid to rest, with full military honors, in the Mo. Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
