Myrtle Marie Mabry, 94, of Poplar Bluff passed away July 24, 2012 in the Cedar Gate Nursing Center. She was born March 19, 1918 in Clay County, Arkansas to the late Henry Blaylock and Ida Lane Blaylock.
On October 5, 1935 at Corning, Arkansas she was married to the late Charles Mabry.
Mrs. Mabry is survived by her children, Bonnie Johnson of Harviell, Missouri, Patricia Foust and husband Ralph Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Dewayne Mabry and wife Ruth Ann of Millersville, Missouri and Don Mabry and wife Beverly of Van Buren, Missouri. One Sister Marteen Weaver of Ft. Myers, Florida also survives, as well as 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren survives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents as well as one son-in-law Rev. Leroy "Jack" Johnson and six brothers, Lee, Raymond, John, Don, Kenneth and Harry Blaylock.
Mrs. Mabry was a member of the Elm Grove General Baptist Church of Naylor where she served in the church in several offices. She was also a member of the Eastern Star at Naylor. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and reading. She had work as a cafeteria manager in the public school and had been a cook in the Naylor School system.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 28, 2012 in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel at Neelyville, Missouri with the funeral following at 1:00 p.m.. Burial will be in the Naylor Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Bell officiating.
