Ola Bowman

Ola Josephine (Eckman) Bowman, 88, beloved mother, grandma, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2012 at River Mist Assisted Living Home in Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Bowman was born January 23, 1924 to the late Josepha E. Eckman and Ider Bell Campbell in Oregan County Missouri. She was united in marriage on January 16, 1958 to the late Corbett Bowman. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1982. She was a lifelong member of the Coon Island Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible and seeing her family and grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Jones and husband, Roger of Moundsville, W. Va and Joanna Riggs and husband, Charles, of Ogelesville, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, Kevin Jones and wife, Dawn, Rhonda Cecil and husband, Eric, Lacey McNamara and husband, Jason, Gina Irwin, Denise Gladfelter, Kaye Wolverton and husband, Vernon Jr., David Wagner, Mark Sullivan, Ronnie Dugger and wife Rissie, Sandy Summers and husband, Tim, Michael Dugger and wife, Dawn; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends whom she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her daughter Carol Sullivan, her parents, and five siblings. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Thursday January 3, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday January 4, 2013, in the chapel with Rev. Ed Plummer officiating. Burial to follow in the Joplin-New Hope Cemetery near Ellsinore, Mo.
