Ona Rushing

Ona Rushing, 82, of Fisk, passed away on October 21, 2019 at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  Ona was born on January 22, 1937  in Camden, Tennessee. Mrs. Rushing was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, gardening, tending to her many flowers and her pet dog, Emmy.  She was a member of the Faith Community Church in Dudley, Mo. On June 6, 1953 she married the late James T. Rushing.  They moved to Missouri in 1954. Ona is survived by five children, Ronnie Rushing (Teresa); Mike Rushing (Tammy) both of Fisk,  Patricia Kopp of St. Louis,  Janice Rushing of Poplar Bluff, and  Timothy Rushing and special friend Sandy of Chaffee, Mo; seven grandchildren, Jimmy (Natalie), Joshua, Jessica, Ryan (Heather), Aaron (Tyler), Lisa (Darrel) and  Danny; eleven great-grandchildren,  Gabrielle, Ethan, Shawn, Landon, Levi, Lucas, Lydia, Madison, Allie, Lane and Lance. Ona was preceded in death by son, James Darrell; husband; brother, Joe Brewer and her parents, Finley and Daisy Faxon. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019  from 6-8pm at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, MO. Funeral services will be on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019  at 10 am   in the chapel with Rev. Jerry Martin  officiating. Burial will take place at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, MO
