Opal Albertson

Opal Albertson, age 69, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Albertson was born December 21, 1942, at Qulin, Mo., to the late George William Woodall and Mary Marie (Robinson) Woodall. She was a member of the Church of Christ. A homemaker, she enjoyed crafts of many different types. She was first married to Bob Rees. He preceded her in death. On May 14, 1992 she was married to John Albertson, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Rick McIver of Springfield, Mo. and Becky Troutt of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; step-children, Margie Shipman of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Mike Albertson of Michigan; two sisters, Ann Carr and Deborah Davis, both of Poplar Bluff; four brothers, Frank Woodall of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Fred Woodall of Vacaville, California, Tommy Woodall and John Woodall, both of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; her grandchildren, Josh McIver and Maya McIver, both of Springfield, Mo, Christal Painter, Dustin Mikel, Hailey Troutt, all of Poplar Bluff; her great-grandchildren, Timothy McIver, Justin McIver, Isabella McIver, Marley Mikel, Aubrey Mikel, Samantha Painter, and Alexander Painter. Mrs. Albertson is preceded in death by her first husband Bob Rees; her parents, George William and Mary Marie Woodall, and one step-son, David Albertson. Visitation will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in the chapel with Dennis Hanes and Adam Noles officiating. Burial will be in Black River Cemetery, Williamsville, Mo.
