Paula Irene Cozort

Paula Irene Cozort, 69, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Friday September 4, 2015 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Cozort was born on September 5, 1945 in Poplar Bluff to the late Medford and Ruby (Bradshaw) Bennett. She was a retired nurses' aide for Doctors Hospital and Lucy Lee Hospital. She enjoyed working outdoors and riding horses. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff and Eastern Star. In 1965, she was united in marriage to Clifford W. Cozort, who preceded her in death in 2006. Survivors include her brother, Leon Bennett and wife, Wanda; two sisters, Jerry Westerfield and Connie Johnston, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by a brother in-law, Reggie Westerfield. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m in the City Cemetery with Rev.Steve Patterson officiating.
