Peter Joseph Davi, 87 , of Poplar Bluff entered into rest on Sunday October 17, 2010 at Westwood Hills Nursing Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM- 11:40 AM Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home; 844 Cedar St. Poplar Bluff. A mass of christian burial will then follow at noon Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 841 Vine St. Poplar Bluff. Peter Joseph Davi, 87, of Poplar Bluff entered into rest Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Westwood Hills Nursing Home. Mr. Davi was born April 6, 1923 in Pittsburg, California to the late Vincent A. Davi and Rose Marie Corrado. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff, the Knights of Columbus, and American Legion Post 153. Mr. Davi served in the United States Army and was a retired traveling salesman. He enjoyed collecting NFL football memorabillia and watching his favorite NFL team, the Sanfrancisco 49ers play football. He is survived by a daughter, Carla Aldridge and husband Earve of Poplar Bluff. A son, Dennis Davi and wife Marilyn of California. A brother, Nino Davi of California and four grandchildren: Carmen Bernard and husband Brian of Tulsa Oklahoma, Terry Aldridge and wife Lisa of Poplar Bluff, Bruce Davi and wife Randi of Clovis, California; Brian Davi and wife Erika of Clovis, California. And seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews from San Francisco Bay Area and Oregon. Visitation will begin at 10 AM -11:40 AM at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar St. Poplar Bluff. Followed by a Mass of Christian burial at noon Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 841 Vine St. Poplar Bluff, with Father David Coon officiating. Burial will follow at Sacared Heart Catholic Cemetery, with full military honors.
