Quentin Carl Sappington, 83, of Naylor, passed away Sept. 15, 2012 at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan, MO. Mr. Sappington was born Oct. 22, 1928, in Searcy Arkansas. He had formerly lived in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had worked as a chef for Chase Park Plaza Restaurant and was a minister and pastor for churches in the Piedmont and Ellington area. Mr Sappington is survived byone sister, Delavina Ferren of Poplar Bluff and many nieces and nephews Mr Sappington was preceded in death by his parents John Wesley Sappington and Sarah Elizabeth (Keith) Sappington; 4 brothers, John, Forest, James and Grady Sappington. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar St, Poplar Bluff, Mo., at 11a.m., with service to follow at 1 p.m., with Donnie Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery in Ellsinore, Mo, with full military rites.
