Rachel P. Stratton

Rachel P. Stratton, 77, of Qulin, Missouri, passed away Sunday November 6, 2011 at her residence. She was born January 22. 19 34 at Greenville, Mo. She had lived in Qulin since 1974 and formerly lived in St.Louis. she was of the Baptist faith. A homemaker, Mrs. Stratton enjoyed cooking, church work, gardening and her grandchildren. On March 23, 1955, she was married toDonald Stratton in St.Louis, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1999. Surviving are three daughters, Debra Bell and Bonnie Bowers, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Amanda Earnheart and husband, Tommy, of Qulin; Two Sons, Donnie Stratton and wife. Tammy, of Qulin and Bryan Stratton of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, May Baker of Farmington, mo. Rosemary Riley of Rochelle, Ill., and Bernice Jenson of Bolin, Texas, five brothers, Willis Bennett of Rochelle, Ill. the Rev. Ernest Bennett Jr. of Naylor, Mo. The Rev. Elijah Bennett of Imperial, Mo. Bernett Bennett of Barnheart, Mo. and Paul Ray Bennett of Potosi, Mo. seven granchildren, Angela and Bobby Ducan, Dawn and Jay Duncan; TAitha Hopper, Shawn and Stephanie Stratton, Brittany and fiance Matt Russell, Rachel and Paul Swesey, Erica Earnhart. seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents,. Ernest Bennett Sr. and Bertha Clubb Bennett; two brothers, Ira Bennett and Bernell Bennett and on son-in-law Randy Bowers and one grandson David Hopper. Visitation for Mrs Stratton will be November 9, 2011 starting at 6 p.m. with the funeral Thursday November 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Mo.. Rev. Ernest Bennett will officiate with the burial in the Berger Cemetery near Olglesville Mo.
