Raymond Davis, 86 of Poplar Bluff, went to be with his Saviour July 10, 2011 in Jackson, TN Visitation will be from 10AM-12PM Wed. July 13, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar St. Poplar Bluff. Funeral will be held at 1:30 PM with Rev. Ralph Mayes officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery.
Raymond was born Sept. 20, 1924 in Parma, MO to the late Hanes Davis and Zelphia Taylor-Davis. He had lived in Poplar Bluff since 1960
He was a member of Third Baptist Church; where he served as deacon, Sunday School teacher and Sunday school superintendent. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. He had worked in factories and had retired from Southern Missouri Savings and Loan after 37 yrs.
On Dec. 22, 1942 he married Edith May Gillihan-Davis in Poplar Bluff and she survives. Also surviving is a daughter Roberta "Bobbie" Leonard and husband Jim from Jackson, TN; grandchild; Jamie Lee Leonard-Mobley and husband Joshua of Jackson, TN
He was preceaded in death by a sister; Lilybeth Lawrence, a brother; Russell Davis; and a great-granddaughter; Morgan Mobley
