Rhonda Lynn Smith, 56, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., was born May 21, 1959, in St. Louis, Mo. and departed on April 3, 2016 at her home.
She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in High Ridge, Mo. and attended Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church locally. She enjoyed spending time with her grandson and her many nieces and nephews, visiting with family and friends, puzzles, reading and sewing. She also enjoyed being at the river and rock collecting. She was quite the entertainer and loved to make people laugh.
On February 26, 1977, she married Bradley Dale Smith Sr. in St. Louis, Mo. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Carmen Lee Smith and Duranda Lynn Moss of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Patricia Jarvis of Ellsinore, Mo. and Ramona Willard of Fenton, Mo. and two brothers, Terry Jarvis of Piedmont, Mo. and John Jarvis, of Ellsinore; as well as one grandson, Jacob Lawrence McIntyre and many nieces and nephews and a number of friends she considered family.
Her parents, Roscoe Jarvis and Wilma (Reed) Jarvis and the love of her life, Randall Lee Moss also preceded her in death.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, followed by funeral services at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Prophetess C.L. Sharkey officiating.
