Richard Hendrickson Obituary


Richard Allen Hendrickson, 68, of Poplar Bluff passed away Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010. Visitation will be Wed. Aug. 18, 2010 after 6 p.m. Fowler - Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar, Poplar Bluff. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Memorial Gardens.

Richard was a lifetime resident of Butler County, and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was of the Baptist faith. He owned and operated a painting company.

He enjoyed camping, fly fishing, writing and was of the National Society of Poetry and wood working.

We was previously married to Linda Kay Hendrickson until she preceded him in death in 1997. On Oct. 5, 2002 he married Rita Morgan ,who survives.

Survivors include a daughter Angela Burns and husband Allen of Poplar Bluff; one sister Carol Thornberry of Polar Bluff, Randy Hendrickson of Ozark, Mo. ; grandchildren, Amber Allen, Christopher Patterson, Bryden Burns; great-grandchildren Farah Allen, Lucian Patterson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Larry Hendrickson and Elsie Landis Hendricksonand one daughter, Michelle Lucy.
