Richard Leon Meade

Richard Leon Meade, 81, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on November 27, 2024, at Cedargate Health Care in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Richard was born on December 18, 1942, to Otis and Freeda (Lawson) Meade in Webb City, Missouri. Richard retired from the Air Force after 25 years of service in the Air Force and the Navy. He was a guard for NASA space shuttles when serving at Edwards Air Base in California. Richard is survived by sisters, Gloria Glenn,  Roberta Crutchfield, brother-in-law James Glenn, all of Poplar Bluff, children, Timothy Meade of California, Richard Meade of Arizona, William Meade of California, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Otis Harold Meade, mother, Freeda (Lawson) Meade and grandparents on both sides. Per Richard's request there are no services planned. Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
