Richard Roles Sr

Richard Roles Sr. 58 of Poplar Bluff passed away May 21, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Richard was born August 24, 1961 in Aurora, CO to the late William Robert Roles and Evelyn (Cross) Roles.  He loved his family dearly.  Besides spending time with each of them he enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and baseball.  He was not able to be active in these activities recently but he enjoyed them when his health allowed.

On December 17,2012 he was united in marriage to Jeanie Ray in Butler County, MO  She survives.  Others left to mourn his passing are children; Richard Roles Jr., Nicholas Roles, Emily Ward-Roles all of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren-Tabatha Roles, Destiny Norman, Mykayla Martin all of Poplar Bluff; siblings-William Robert Roles of IL, William David Roles of IL, Jeanne Burgin and husband Ron of Poplar Bluff, Timmie Jane David-Roles of IL, Kitty Jo Roles of IL, brother-in-laws Tim and David Little, sisters-in-law Janie Lane and Sharon Ray, mother-in-law-Patty Little.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sisters-Mary Davis, Dawn Roles Mitchell, Peggy Roles and an uncle-Kit Cross.

Visitation will begin at 1 pm Tuesday May 26, 2020 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.  The funeral service will follow at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Byron Beck officiating.   Burial will then take place in City Cemetery.   Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic it is still strongly suggested that those vulnerable or concerned wear masks and please do not hand shake and  be mindful of distancing and expect to be asked to spread out for those attending the funeral service.

The family did suggest that anyone that has a special or favorite photo of Richard to bring and display on the magnetic picture board.
