Robert D. "Bo" Anderson

Robert D. "Bo" Anderson, 81, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at The Cedargate in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Anderson was born September 24, 1935 in Catron, Mo., to the late Phillip J. Anderson and Sally (Lewis) Anderson. He was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed singing in the choir. Survivors include four sisters, Joyce Rose of Memphis, Tn., Marveline Rowling, Vermal Blackman both of Poplar Bluff and Peggy Carter of Indianapolis, In.; 6 brothers, Lewis Anderson (Lottie) of Indianapolis, In., Charles Anderson (Ruther), Donell Anderson (Willene), William Anderson (Elizabeth) all of Poplar Bluff, Michael Anderson (Cubie) of Memphis, Tn. and Sylvester Anderson of Poplar Bluff. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Anderson, as well as two sisters, Dorothy Hawes and Linda Smith and a brother, Jerry Anderson. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff followed by funeral service at noon with Rev. Andrew Jefferson officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Morocco Cemetery.
