Robert "Bob Smith

Robert " Bob" Smith, 73, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis Mo. Mr. Smith was born January 22, 1941, in Dexter, Mo. He was the owner/operator of R & J Auto Body for 45 years. He enjoyed auto body work, was an auto enthusiast and enjoyed drag racing. He attended the Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center. On June 14, 1963 he married Juanita Casey in St. Louis, Mo. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Regina "Gina" Blalock and husband, Jamie and Scott Smith and wife, Shirlena; 6 grandchildren, Seinna, Sharayah, Samuel and Seth Smith, Alex Blalock and Scotty Smith; 1 great-granddaughter, Kimber Kay Emerson; 1 sister Barbara Hendrix of Jackson, Mo. and a brother, Dwayne Smith of Pensacola, FL. as well as his mother, Norma Gunn-Smith. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Smith and a daughter, Paula Danette Smith. Visitation will be at noon Monday September 8, 2014 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar St. Poplar Bluff, Mo. and funeral service to follow at 2pm with Rev. Wesley "Bud" Taylor and Rev. Doyle Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
