Robert D. Cory Jr

Robert David Cory Jr. 73, of Harviell, Missouri., died Saturday, February 11, 2012 , at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center. Mr. Cory was born July 29, 1938, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Previously a resident of Texas and Illinois, he returned to the Butler County area in 1986. he enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. A veteran of the United States Air-force, he served during the Vietnam War era, from 1956-1964. He had also worked as a supervisor in home construction. Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Cory of Lincoln, Nebraska and Debbie Bannon of California, Three brothers Charlie Cory of Belleville, Ill., Carl Cory of Maryville, Illinois and Phil Cory of Harviell, Mo. and four Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert David Cory Sr. and Alma Bowman Cory' one Sister, Ethel Phillips; and one brother, Phillip Cory. Visitation will be from 11: o0 am until 1:00 pm Wednesday at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville , Missouri. Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Wed. at the funeral home with Donnie Fowler officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with full military rites. Memorial may e made to John J.
