Rodney Towns, affectionately known as 'Rod Man,' or

‘Scooby’ was born on May 12, 1983, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and departed this life on April 16, 2026. After growing up in Benton Harbor, he moved to Poplar Bluff, Missouri, where he married his beloved wife, Amber Towns, and together they raised their children, Keaira Harrison and Tavian Towns.

He is also remembered by his mother, Wanda Moore, his brothers, Victor Hampton and Clyde Towns, along with an extensive network of family and friends who loved him dearly.

Rodney had a deep love for cooking, often preparing meals for his family, friends, and the community.

He was passionate about his collection of shoes, he had a love for Scooby Doo, hunting, guns and especially cherished spending time with his family at home, on vacations, outdoors, "and whatnot."

Rodney was a devoted husband, father, and friend, and his absence leaves a void in our lives that will never be filled.

The outpouring of love and support from family and friends has been truly overwhelming. During this incredibly difficult time, if you wish to support Amber, Keaira, and Tavian, donations can be made via GoFundMe.

Visitation and service will be held in his honor at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 701 Vine Street, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, 63901, on Monday, April 27, 2026. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for family, and 11 a.m. to noon for friends. Graveside services will follow immediately after the visitation.
