Ronald Ezell

Ronald "Ronnie" or "Ronjon" James Ezell, 62, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on March 15, 2025, in his hometown.

Ron was born on September 15, 1962, in Piedmont, Missouri. He graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1982 and went on to build a career as a truck driver. He worked for Woody Bogler Trucking Co. and spent nearly two decades on the road.

Beyond his work, Ron found joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren, who were the center of his world. He had a passion for outdoor adventures that included riding his side-by-side and four-wheeler. Hunting was another pastime he cherished. He was a lover of music by Pink Floyd. Ron took great pride in collecting guns and had an impressive model car and tractor collection that he enjoyed sharing with those close to him.

Ron is survived by his sisters Donna (Joe) Carter and Tracy Collins; his brother Jack Ezell; his daughters Ashley Armbruster (Andrew Robinson) of Perryville, Missouri, and Erica (Cody) Tripp of Fredericktown, Missouri; as well as two other very special daughters he loved as his own, Heather (RJ) Asay and Cassie Cannon of Poplar Bluff. His legacy continues through his eleven beloved grandchildren: Ryan Pinkley, Kora Armbruster, Kylea Ezell, Landon and Liam Foss, Maverick Tripp, Colton, Calie, Calin Asay, Weston and Barrett Cannon.

For nearly thirty years, Ron shared his life with his devoted girlfriend Christina Brower. He also held a deep love for his many nieces and nephews, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved dog “Babigail.”

A viewing will be held on March 21, 2025 from 5PM to 6PM at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home located at 701 Vine Street in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Ron’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.
