Ronnie Jay Thomas

Ronnie Jay Thomas, son of Thelma Walker and the late Willie Grant, was born January 15, 1960, in Poplar Bluff. He passed away at 9:55am Friday, August 4th at the John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis. Mr. Thomas worked at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He enjoyed his family, friends, watching sports and reading westerns. He is survived by his mother; Thelma (Walker) Thomas, sisters; Jo Hale (John), Shirley Harley, Edna Young, Kathy Thomas, Jacquelyn Jackson, Carolyn Thomas, and Debra Wilkerson (James), brothers; Howard Brown and Kenny Thomas Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Willie Grant, and brother-in-law; Robert Young. Visitation is at 11am Friday, August 11th at the Loving Jesus Ministries Church 2663 Thomas St. Poplar Bluff, MO. The funeral service will follow at 12pm with Kenny Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery Bloomfield, MO.
