Roy Eugene Bostic, 63, of Dexter, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Roy was born June 27, 1952, in Fisk, Mo., to the late Leroy Bostic and Eva Bostic. He served in the U.S. Marines Corps and retired from Triangle PWC, in Sikeston, Mo. He enjoyed deer hunting, camping, fishing, and going to flea markets.
On October 23, 1971, he married Margie (Moore) Bostic, in Poplar Bluff. They were married 44 years. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Angie Schmidt; two grandchildren, Haley Schmidt and Kyle Schmidt all of Hutto, Tx.; one sister, Janie E. White; two brothers, Jackson L. Bostic and Norman Bostic, all of Poplar Bluff; as well as nieces, nephews and dear family and friends.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters; Linda Williams, Cathy Bostic and Phyllis Wells.
Visitation will be 11a.m.- 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. A Graveside service with full military honors will follow at 2p.m. at the Mo. State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with Chaplain Bill Hatch officiating.
