Ruby Jean Henson

Ruby Jean Henson, 75, of Poplar Bluff went to her Heavenly Home Sunday Dec. 5, 2010 at her residence. Visitation will be from 6-9 PM Wed. Dec. 8, 2010 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff-844 Cedar Street. Funeral services will be at 10AM Thurs Dec. 9, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kenny Durham officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Bluff City Cemetery. Mrs. Henson was born Nov. 14, 1935 in Hendrickson, MO , to the late Odie Lee Wheeling and Marie Wheeling. On Aug. 7, 1954 she married Wayne Henson, in Poplar Bluff and he preceded her in death Sept. 1, 2007 She had worked many years for the Florsheim Shoe Company. She also worked as a cook for the Poplar Bluff Schools and had worked in the cafeteria of Lucy Lee Hospital. She loved the outdoors, observing wildlife, camping, traveling and being with her family. She attended Little Brown General Baptist Church. Ruby is survived by a daughter; Janice West (Jim) of Poplar Bluff; two sons; Ron Henson (Amy) of Poplar Bluff; and Dewayne Henson of Poplar Bluff. Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and five sisters; Glenda Jackson, Doris Roach, Marge McDaniel, Cindy Cray and Debbie Settlemiere; four brothers; Ted Wheeling, Bob Wheeling, Lee Wheeling, and Bill Wheeling. Ruby was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Arrington and a sister in infantcy.
