Rue "Coot" Turner, 86 of Neelyville, Mo. died Saturday January 26, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family. Coot was born January 31, 1926 south of Maynard, Arkansas to Burl and Tula Mae Turner.Rue and Norma West were married October 23, 1944 in MoArk, Arkansas. She survives of the home. Coot farmed for 50 years and retired from farming in 1985. He was a very devoted Husband, Dad and Grandpa, and was loved by his family and all who knew him. He loved hunting, fishing and especially hunting with his dogs. Survivors include, One son, Danny Turner and wife Karen of Neelyville,Missouri. One daughter, Judy Timpe and husband Roger of Neelyville, Missouri.four Grandchildren, Kami Wilson and husband Kelly, Valerie Smith and husband Dale , Jason Turner, and Rae Lynn Odom and Husband Tim. Six great-grandchildren, Alex Clark, and wife Bethany, Sierra Ross and husband Eric, Carlee Smith, christian Smith, Bailey Odom, Macey Odom, one great-great-granddaughter, Presley Grace Clark. Four brothers and four sisters also survive. Howard, Burley, Tom, Drew, Zelphia, Cona, Betty and Mary Jo. He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and one sister. Visitation will be Sunday starting at 6:00p.m. with the funeral Monday January 28, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Mo.,. With burial in the Williams Cemetery near Corning, Ark. Rev. Kent Miller officiating with Rev Donnie Fowler assiting.
