Ruth Lillian (Slaughter) Watkins

Ruth Lillian Watkins, 90 years young of Poplar Bluff Mo passed away October 4,2020 in Doniphan Mo.  She was born May 8, 1930 in Zalma Mo. The daughter of George Washington Slaughter and Elizabeth Smith.

She is survived by 2 sons , Larry Dugger, Zalma Mo, Everett  Dugger (Dina),  Rosenburg Texas, One daughter, Kathy Barrett (Daniel) Poplar Bluff, Mo. Grandchildren , Jennifer, Charles, Sherrie, Chelsie, Dana, Matthew, Tina, Sara. Great grandchildren Loman, Ian, Adlyn, Jacob, Jullet,

Ruth married her best friend Donald Watkins.  She loved spending  time with her kids, grandkids, & great grandkids. She was happiest when she was yard saleing, running her own flea market & playing bingo.  She worked and retired at Florsheim shoe in cape Girardeau mo.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Donald, her parents George & Elizabeth Slaughter; 4 brothers, Verman, Pete, Jack, Loren, one sister, Haley.

She has gone to heaven and will be an angel to many. She is no longer In  pain and is walking on the streets of gold.

Funeral services will be at Fowler-Sullivan mortuary in Poplar Bluff Mo with Rowdy Boyer officiating ,  visitation will be October 8, 2020  5 pm family , 6 pm-8pm public, funeral October 9 , 2020 10 am Interment will be at.  Berrong Cemetery at Zalma MO
