Ruth A. Taylor, 93, of Poplar Bluff passed away Thursday July 26, 2012 at the Mark Twain Caring Center. Ms. Taylor was born October 6, 1918 at Cotton Plant, Ark. to the late Milton and Clemmie (Clark) Duncan. She had lived in Poplar Bluff since 1980, but was previously a resident of Chicago, Ill. She was a retired housekeeper. She loved to cook, read, visit with friends and going to church. She was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to Johnie Taylor in 1964. He preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Milton Taylor and wife Pauline of Poplar Bluff, Sheldon Taylor and wife Mary Ann of South Bend, Ind. and Melissa Fultz of Maywood, Ill.; 20 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation for Ms. Taylor will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo., followed by funeral services at 12 p.m., with Rev. Ivory Dean officiating. Burial in the Morocco Cemetery.
