Samuel Russell, 22 passed away March 6, 2011 in Oklahoma. Visitation will begin at 10:30AM Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Bay Springs Missionary Baptist Church (off M Hwy) and funeral services will begin at 11AM Saturday with Elder Cletus Powell officiating. Burial will be in Bay Springs Cemetery. Samuel was born Oct. 17, 1988 in Monroe North Carolina and had formerly lived in Arizona. He had planned on attending college this fall. He loved playing music, writing and was a very good artist. He is survived by his father; Don Russell and Mother Leslie Whalen Russell both of Roff Oklahoma. His grandparents; Charles and Shirley Whalen of Poplar Bluff; uncles; Martin Whalen of Edwards California, Edward Russell of Poplar Bluff, and John Russell of Poplar Bluff. Aunts; Shirley Russell of Poplar Bluff, Peggy Daughhetee of Poplar Bluff, Phylllis Ford of Poplar Bluff, and Judy Smith of Poplar Bluff. A brother; James Russell of Roff Oklahoma also survives; and six cousins. Samuel was preceded in death by his grandmother Julie Russell; grandfather; James M. Russell and a cousin Megan Daughhetee
