Samuel Alfred Williams

Samuel Alfred Williams, 58, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday May 22, 2012 at Saint Frances Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Mr. Williams was born on October 23, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri, and was a lifetime resident of Butler County. He had worked for Poplar Bluff Street Department and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. On March 19, 1977, he was married to Pearl Green in Butler County Missouri. She survives. Also surviving are his two daughters, Tanya Williams of Poplar Bluff and Brandi Stoneman of Artesia, New Mexico; three sisters, Peggy Head, Edna Williams and Ann Williams, all of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Melvin Williams of Fisk and seven grandchildren, Devon Williams, Amaya Richard, Jayden Molina, Jordan Molina, Jarron Williams, Jasmin Molina and Arrissa Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Williams and Ruby (Pettigrew) Williams; one sister, Carol Helms; two brothers, Charles Williams and Jimmy Williams. Services for Mr. Williams will be Friday May 25 , 2012, with visitation begining at 12p.m. and funeral services to follow at 1p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Burial in Ash Hill Cemetery near Fisk, Mo.
