Sarah Young

Sarah Alice Young, 81, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at her home. She was born June 25, 1933, in Mammoth Springs, Ar., to the late James and Josephine Pitts. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and family and doing cross word puzzles. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Phillips and son, Larry Young and wife, Shelly; two sisters, Louise Pitts and Frankie Phillips and husband, Elger; and a brother, William Pitts and wife, Patricia; four grandchildren, Shawn Phillips, Penny Portell, John Young and Allie Young; great-grandchildren, Trent Perry and Colin Jackson; and special friends, Lisa Collins and Bruce Jenkins. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as five brothers, Junior, James, Jerry, Johnny and Wesley Pitts. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff in charge of arrangements.
