Sharon Barker

Sharon Barker, 63, of Poplar Bluff, died December 4, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.   She was born on Dec. 22, 1955 in St Louis to Harvey King and Maxine Owens King Joy.

Sharon was a retired public school teacher and enjoyed sewing and cooking.

She is survived by brothers, Larry Harris (Evelyn), Harvey King Jr. (Isin) and stepbrother, Timothy Joy (Sarah); sister, Julita Michel (Marty) and nieces, Melissa Harris, Tabitha Hoover and Danica Ruso; one aunt Mary Arnold.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, William "Bill" D. King.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, Dec. 6, at Fowler Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.  The funeral will be 11 am Saturday,  Dec. 7 in the chapel with Ron Fowler and Rev. Willis Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
