Sharon Kay(Somers) Scott passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 at her residence. She was 63. Visitation for Ms. Scott will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar, Poplar Bluff, Mo. A graveside service and burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Cemetery, Clay County, Corning, Ark., with Ron Fowler officiating. Ms. Scott was born June 23, 1948 at Poplar Bluff, Mo. She had worked as a machinist and medical transport driver, she enjoyed reading books. She had formerly lived at Granite City, Illinois. Surviving are sons, James Sims and wife, Tammy of Pontoon Beach, Ill. and Shawn W. Herman of Popar Bluff, Missouri; one sister Diane Somers and one brother, Billy Lee Somers; four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Katherine Hope Pickett.
