Shirley Ray Martin

Ray Martin, 90, of Fairdealing, Missouri pass away November 19, 2014 in the Southeast Health Care Center of Doniphan, Missouri. He was born January 20, 1924 in Raymond City, Virginia to the late James Albert Martin and Lyda Bell Asbury Martin. On December 23, 1946 at Pocahontas, Arkansas He was married to Juanita Gaines. She survives. Also surviving is his children, William Larry Martin of Portorville, California, Jerry Lee Martin of Fairdealing, Missouri, and Garry Albert Martin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Twenty two grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren also survive. Ray was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Poplar Bluff, Missouri where he served as high priest. He had been a farmer and enjoyed, yard sales, auctions, collecting knifes and watches as well as little cars and trucks. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as one son, Tommy Ray Martin and one daughter Peggy Sue "Martin" Willbanks, one sister, Maysel F. Borkus and two brothers, Herschel A. Martin and Curtis L. Martin. Visitation for Mr. Martin will be November 24, 2014 starting at 12:00 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Poplar Bluff, Mo.. Funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with the burial in the Center Hill Cemetery at Fairdealing, Missouri.
