Shirley Mae McGee, 81, of Naylor,Missouri, died Friday, April 21, 201 at her home. Mrs. McGee was born October 16, 1935, in Harviell, Missouri. She retired as a cook for the Naylor School System. She enjoyed reading, gardening, flowers, quilting, butterflies and angels. She was a member of Elm Grove General Baptist Church at Naylor.
On November 8, 1952, she married Edward L. "Bert" McGee at Pocahontas, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2000.
Survivors include seven children, Verlin McGee of Poplar Bluff, Missouri Davy McGee and wife, Kathy, of Naylor, Missouri, Ronald McGee and wife, Darlene of Malden, Mo. Edward E. McGee of Harviell, Missouri,, Virginia Ann McGee of Naylor, Missouri, Beverly Bell and Husband Dennis of Naylor, and Karen McGee and Billy Jack of Naylor, Three sisters, Lena Schiff of Covington, Washington, Bertha Jean Marshall of Desoto, Missouri and Mary Douthten of Desoto, Missouri; two brothers, William Horn of Herman, Missouri and Dale Horn; 13 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one sister, Verda Meneakers; and two brothers, Alfred Horn and Clarence Horn.
Visitation for Shirley will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel, Inc. in Neelyville, Missouri. funeral will be Wedsnday April 26, starting at 11:00 am in the Neelyville Chapel. Burial will be in the Naylor Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Bell officiating.;
