Sweety Belle Buhler

Sweety Belle Buhler, 83, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, May 8, 2015, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born May 24, 1931, in Harviell, Mo. Her hobbies were quilting, flowers, enjoying, her grandchildren, cooking and her church. She was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Harviell Pentecostal Church. She worked as a homemaker and was a lifelong resident of the area. On March 24, 1948, she married Lawrence Buhler in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He survives. Also surviving are one son, Cecil Buler and wife, Sherin, of Littleton, CO.; one daughter-in-law, Charlotte Buhler of Summersville, Mo.; five sisters, Adela Uhl, Dolly Clayton, and Sarah Jean Knox, all of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Louella Luther of Hoxie, Ar., and Margie Barker of St. Louis; four brothers, Kenneth Barker of Tampa, Fla., Edward Barker of Maynard, Ark., Ross Barker of Summersville and Thomas Barker of Harviell; two grandsons, Mathew, and Mark Buhler; three granddaughters, Christina Hubbard, Sheila Stoops, and Melissa Holland and nine great-grandchildren. one daughter in law Charlotte Barker also survives. She was preceded in the by her parents, Marion Barker and Stella Harris Barker; one son, Johnny Buhler; and one brother, Virgil Barker. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial chapel in Neelyville. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Leroy Murray officiating. Burial will be in the Black Creek Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
