Teddie Gene Birdsong, 72, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015, at the Westwood Hills Healthcare Facility in Poplar Bluff.
Teddie was born May 16, 1943, in Poplar Bluff, to Blake R. Birdsong and Mary L. (Timmons) Birdsong. He was of the Baptist faith. He was an electrician by trade and loved to work. He enjoyed being with family and his pets.
Survivors include his wife, Sherri (Gowen) Birdsong; a daughter, Cindy Bartlett and sons, Robert Birdsong and Teddy Birdsong; three sisters, Allene Sweeza, Janis Birdsong, and Anita Birdsong; two brothers, Blake T. Birdsong and Russell Birdsong, as well as four grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Stewart and Ruth Carl and a brother, Billy Birdsong.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. A graveside funeral service and interment will follow at 11 a.m. at the Black Creek Cemetery with Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating.
